We often fail because we have not decided on what success looks like.
I have extensive experience in IT project and program leadership. Through this experience, I learned that unclear and constantly changing requirements are the primary reasons projects or goals fail.
If you do not know the goal, how do you know if you've succeeded?
The first step is to decide on what you want. Define what it looks, feels, sounds, tastes, and smells like.
If what you want constantly changes, then that could be the reason why you are unable to succeed in the first place. The goal posts are constantly changing.
There's nothing wrong with changing our minds. We need to ensure that we conduct a thorough review of how changing the goal post will impact our initial expectations of what success looks like.
